Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am currently caring for my sick mother and so, while I have uploaded some past works my new work will likely be slow in coming.
While life is not exactly the way I planned it right now, I wouldn't choose to be anywhere else.
I have created this blog to remind me, in the meantime, of who I am and what it is that I 'do'.
I hope you enjoy my 'stuff' as much as I enjoy yours.
Have a lovely day!

Pear with bum :)
Mixed Media
on paper
My drawing teachers used to tell me I needed to stay with one medium, I didn't agree :)
I've been told the same and I don't agree either. Variety being the spice and all that. I love the pear bum,,the charcoal and conte, and I ADORE your ink drawings! The last two are really grabbers for me! I also admire your patience; those drawings must have taken a very long time.
In other words - me too. I did art a lifetime back and got told the same thing - don't do this don't do that. I was a C minus art student. Now and then I've done something worthwhile but mostly it's a slog for me. Writing was always my secret passion, not painting. Which is why I really do think your stuff is amazing and gorgeous.

Colour!
I love colour.
I love to play with colour and try not to take myself too seriously.
I work with matt acrylics, watercolour, gauche, inks and whatever else takes my fancy. I use artist quality paints and pigments and Arches 300 gsm paper usually. Sometimes I will stretch my paper directly onto a canvas or onto a frame as I work really wet to begin with and I've yet to find a gummed tape that stands up to it.
A bit eclectic really.
This blog has been created to showcase my artwork.
Feel free to contact me via the email link if you are interested in anything.
